To kick off our new food feature we’re starting it with a recipe for low carb pancakes.
Ingredients:
60g of cream cheese
1 whole egg
30g of ground almonds1 scoop of vanilla or unflavoured whey protein (if you want you can remove the vanilla extract if you use vanilla whey)
splash of milk (add as required)
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 teaspoon of sweetner (again add to taste)
Whisk the scream cheese until you get a smooth consistency.
Add the egg and whisk in along with the rest of the ingredients to form the pancake batter.
If you use vanilla whey then you can skip using vanilla extract.
Simply cook like normal pancakes, use 0 calorie olive oil spray to keep down the calories and you have low carb high protein pancakes.
